For Employers
Your team has CGT obligations. The questions are landing on you.
When your company grants RSUs, ESPPs, or PSUs, employees take on Capital Gains Tax obligations most of them don't understand. Whether you're in HR, managing a team, or organising benefits, Submyt runs free educational sessions that give your people the clarity they need. No cost. No commitment.
Book a free sessionThe problems this creates
Employee equity is great for retention. But it comes with tax obligations that create real headaches for everyone involved.
Admin burden
Employees turn to HR, payroll, and their direct managers with CGT questions nobody is equipped to answer. Every vesting cycle brings another wave of queries that pull people away from their actual work.
Lack of guidance
There's no obvious place for employees to get clear, reliable information about CGT on company equity. Revenue's guidance is dense. Online resources are generic. The information gap is real.
Non-compliance risk
Without proper understanding, employees may unintentionally fail to report CGT on their equity. Revenue is actively increasing enforcement on employee share remuneration.
Employee dissatisfaction
The confusion and stress of navigating CGT alone leaves employees frustrated, particularly when the obligations arise from company-issued equity. That frustration gets associated with the employer, even when it's not the employer's responsibility.
The Submyt Employer Programme
We run free educational sessions for teams at companies that grant employee equity. Whether it's a company-wide initiative or a single department, we tailor the content to your equity plans and your people's needs.
Completely free. No strings attached.

Common questions
What exactly does Submyt offer employers?
We run free educational sessions (delivered virtually) to help employees understand their Capital Gains Tax obligations on company equity. Before the session, we work with you to understand the specifics of your stock-based compensation (RSUs, ESPPs, or other equity plans) so we can tailor the content to your people's needs.
Why should our company be involved? Isn't CGT a personal tax
issue?
Yes, CGT is a personal responsibility. But employees often turn to HR, payroll, and their direct managers for guidance, especially when the tax obligations arise from company-sponsored stock plans. By facilitating a Submyt session, you give your people the answers they need without having to become a tax expert yourself.
How much time or effort is required from our side?
Very little. We handle everything: content preparation, delivery, and post-session follow-up. All you need to do is share the session invite with your people using your own internal channels. After the session, we provide a summary of all questions asked (with answers) so you can distribute it internally.
What does the session cover?
We provide clear, practical education on CGT, focusing on stock-based compensation (RSUs, ESPPs, etc.) and general investing. Topics include how and when CGT applies, what employees need to do to stay compliant, common mistakes and how to avoid them, key deadlines, and where to find additional support.
How is the session delivered?
Sessions are delivered virtually via video call (Zoom, Teams, or your preferred platform). They typically run for 45-60 minutes including a live Q&A at the end. Afterwards, we send a follow-up document with a summary of all questions and answers for your team to distribute internally.
Is there a minimum group size?
We ask for a minimum of 30 attendees. This can be a single department, a cross-functional group, or the full company. If you're a team manager looking to bring this to your people, that works just as well as a company-wide HR initiative.
Does our company need to endorse Submyt or handle employee
sign-ups?
No. The programme is designed to be completely neutral from the employer's perspective. Employees can choose to engage with Submyt independently, just like they would with any other personal financial tool. Your company simply facilitates access to trusted tax education.
Can we use Submyt as an employer-sponsored benefit?
While this isn't required, it can be a cost-effective way to enhance your total compensation package and reinforce your position as an employer of choice. Some companies choose to reimburse Submyt subscriptions for employees as part of a financial wellness initiative.
What if employees still have questions after the session?
At the end of each session, we take live questions from employees. Any additional questions that arise during the session will be compiled and answered in a follow-up document, which we send to your team for internal distribution. Employees can also refer to the educational resources on the Submyt website.
